We are a group of physicists working in astroparticle physics at Linnaeus University and our expertise lies in Very-High-Energy Gamma-Ray Astronomy. To see who we are, look here.

Our scientific focus is in extragalactic astronomy and, in particular, we are interested in the understanding of particle acceleration in Active Galactic Nuclei.

We work in international projects like the High Energy Stereoscopic System, the ALTO project and the Cherenkov Telescope Array project.

At Linnaeus University we collaborate with several other departments and faculties in the framework of the Data Intensive Sciences and Applications (DISA) research centre. Our research group in the DISA environment is called Data Intensive Astroparticle Physics.

For Bachelor or Master students interested in projects in gamma-ray astronomy and/or computing in astroparticle physics, please refer to the thesis projects page. Students from both Physics and Computer Science departments are welcome to do a project with us.

Candidate PhD students should wait until a PhD position is advertised. If such a position exists on this page, you are welcome to apply.

For any questions, please refer to the group leader Yvonne Becherini.
